Meet Chef Mauricio Urzúa

I’m Mauricio Urzúa, a Mexican chef, traveler and food storyteller based in Mexico City.

From the pots in my family kitchen to professional kitchens in Playa del Carmen, Valle de Guadalupe, Guadalajara, Thailand and Japan, I have cooked with what life has offered me: ingredients, stories and adventures.

After years of traveling and working in kitchens, I created this experience to help visitors understand Mexican culture through street tacos, markets, mezcal and the everyday rituals that make the city unforgettable.

Food, market chaos, agave and street culture.

The tour is designed to feel natural: standing at taco counters, walking through the Centro, tasting market bites and sharing the little rules locals follow without thinking.
